Karla Homolka Movie
When I first heard that this movies was even being made, I felt my stomach contract and could taste the vomit in the back of my throat. The events that this movie is based upon, are so sickening and evil, the thought of them being splashed upon the silver screen was revolting at best. Although to be fair, I have not seen this movie, however I have read articles by people who have. One such article was written by Alan Cairns of the Toronto Sun. He extensivley covered the Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka case. You can read this article here.
I won't go into the many details covered in that article, you can read it for yourself :) However, after reading this article, and many like it, I have made up my mind as to whether or not I will see this movie. The answer is no. Not even on video. I can remember as a teenager being horrified by these events as they were covered on the news. It sickens me to think that someone is profiting from romanticizing these events and placing them on the silver screen. I understand that others are going to feel differently about this than I, however I know I'm not alone seeing how many movie theatres in Canada are refusing to show this film. I hope that in the future movie makers can find a muse that doesn't inspire them to make films about such horrific, real life events, but to make films based on ideas from their own imaginations :)

It is sad that some people have nothing better to offer to society than to rehash the horrible events to try and make money! Personally I hope the people that make movies like this go bankrupt. The movie is right up there with the disgust I felt at hearing there were talks about a movie based on the Robert Picton murder investigation.
It is sad and disheartening, I'll take a flaky movie about Vampires/Werewolves anyday thanks!
