Christmas Aftermath
Well, after being up 31 hours straight, and going to a brunch, Dinner and an after-party at 3 different locations, and thinking I had to work, but in reality didn't and went into work when I didn't have to, and left the dinner early to do so. I finally got home and went to bed and slept for about 10 hours. It was a goooood sleep too, although I would have liked to have slept longer, but I didn't, mostly because I had to get up and go to work.
It was a good christmas for the most part. There were lots of laughs, lot's of smiles, and good food (which is my favorite part), that is until my g/f and I went back to her place where her Dad's g/f decided to bitch at us for bringing her presents back to her house and "taking up too much room" and then getting into her fight with my g/f's Dad and just bringing us both down. That and my g/f's sister being a sore loser and getting pissed off that I beat her at "Friends Scene-It". I mean, she was going on about how badly she was going to whoop my butt, and since she was such a fan of the show, there was no way I could beat her. When I was finished and she wasn't half-way around the board yet, well, she threw a bit of a fit knocked my piece off the board and said "well, you're not in this game anymore and it's just Me and my sister". I laughed and went and sat on the couch and watched them finish the game.
The problem is, my g/f's sister figured that I didn't watch the show, which is not true, I used to watch the show all the time, and my sister (who I share a house with) has all 10 seasons on DVD. I've seen the show. As well, I have a knack for remembering things from TV and Movies which makes trivia games about such things easy for me to play. My g/f is well aware of this and when she does win, which happens, it's all the more important for her because I tend to do well at those types of games. Her sister on the other hand, thinks she's the greatest at everything and when she get's proven otherwise throws a tantrum. Which is just pointless.
I mean, I'm not saying I never lose. I do, and often. When I lose I just accept the fact I lost and just hope I win the next time I play. It is after all, just a game. That's not to say I'm not competitive, I am, a great deal. I like to win just as much as everyone else, and No, I don't like to lose, but when I do lose a game, it's not the end of the world, I just want to play again to get another chance. I mean, sure I may talk smack from time to time, but it's all in good fun. I'm not the type of person who cheats to win, or will pack up the game and go home if I'm not winning is what I'm saying. Which seems to be the type of person my g/f's sister is.
Anyway, aside from all that nonsense, it was a good christmas and I look forward to having many many more with my g/f. :) I hope everyone else had a good christmas, and I hope you all have a happy new year. :) I look forward to having my family gathering over new years :)
